National Pancake Day at IHOP is tomorrow (February 5, 2013). Guests can stop by for a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes.
All guests are asked to consider leaving a donation for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals© or other designated local charities.
You can also still get a coupon for a free meal at IHOP when you sign up for their email list.
As a server, just a friendly reminder to be considerate of those very busy servers doing their best to get to you in a timely manner, and remember: always tip on the PRE-discounted ticket price, not the post. The servers have families to feed too, and most make between $2.13-$5 or so an hour. If you don’t tip, they get taxed on their gross sales and have just subsidized your meal for you. This tip tax is in addition to the other regular taxes they pay. Plus, they have to tip out others.
Just a friendly reminder for those going to eat on a day many servers dread because of the things I’ve mentioned.
Thank you Jodi for posting this reminder. I used to work at one of there restaurants and except for the rare few most make $2.13.
i love pancakes!
Great way to spend some time with your kids without lifting a finger!
We went to this a couple years ago and always share on my blog too – it gets REALLY busy so make sure to schedule for some extra time – but it is really fun for the kids and they all bring saved up change to share too! I love ‘national pancake day’ =)
